6WS : 11/22/14

Her tongue was twisted in fear.

(NO!)

No longer will fear guide me.

I am freeing myself of doubt.

I am on the path to knowledge.

I’ll follow the Owl to freedom.

Six Words Can Say a Lot:  Show My Face 6WS

    1. I love the bear!

it’s taken me too long to acknowledge my spirit. I’ve been dreaming about owls since I was a youngster and there have been other signs leading me to the owl but I was being petulant because I wanted the wolf. I’m now ready to embrace who (hoo?) I am.

sorry for the long answer! 😄

I’d recite “The Owl and the Pussycat” for us – “… they danced by the light of the moon” — but, alas — new moon (and I don’t want to be a pussycat!). So an owl tongue-twister to practice – “Eleven owls licked eleven little liquorice lollipops” =)

  2. Hey there, I found you via the NaBloPoMo blogroll.

As part of NaBloPoMo I try to comment on as many participating blogs as I can, and I am also adding participating blogs to my feed reader. So I’m just dropping by to let you know I’ve added your blog to my feedreader, whenever you publish a post I will see it. 🙂

I have created three bundles on Inoreader so that bloggers can easily visit other participating NaBloPoMo bloggers which you can find here –

    http://www.snoskred.org/2014/11/nablopomo-bundles-final-edition.html

Your blog is in the second bundle.. I also have a link up going at my place so my readers can find participating blogs which you are more than welcome to add your blog link to.

Looking forward to seeing your posts. You may see me drop by again during November, but it might be December before I finish my first drop by to blogs if I don’t get faster at leaving comments. 🙂

    Happy NaBloPoMo to you!

    1. thank you so much!! Happy NaBloPoMo to you — belatedly, since it is now December. 😀

I’m behind on comments so please excuse me for taking so long to reply; I just wanted you to know I read this and even though NaBloPoMo is over, I’ll be stopping by later on to catch up.

    1. I’m glad that you want to, so you tag along wherever you like! 🙂 I didn’t even think of that as a poem … when I first wrote it, it was the initial six words, and then I started thinking and the rest flowed out. and thank you for the support, even though I feel like a sham since one or two nights after I posted that I broke down again.

      1. You weren’t a sham for the one or two nights, and now you just start fresh. If we let the bad times erase all the good times that came before, the whole world would be populated by nothing but shams. It’s the present that counts, and what our hopes are for the future. The past is gone and can’t be changed, and the present is the blank slate on which we draw our future. I’ll read you later.

    2. recognizing and processing that the past is gone is my biggest achilles’ heel. I don’t know how to let go when so much of what happened before still feels like it’s happening now.

      anyway.

thank you for the positivity about starting fresh. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen “Vanilla Sky,” but one of my favorite quotes from that flick is “Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.” Maybe I should put that on a post-it note or find some other way to re-remind myself of this when the bad times come.

      I appreciate you. 🙂 ♥
