The Girl Loves Autumn

Thinking about the many colors of autumn, of course I thought of reds and golds and oranges.  But this is my favorite season and I wanted to approach this in a slightly different way by sharing some of the other colors and ideas that come to my mind; my autumn also includes teal, hot pink, purple, turquoise, grey and black.  As the days darken, my mood lightens, and I’m excited to share my take on this.  =)

Candid Cat

Since I don’t have a smartphone, I’m using a photo taken with my iPad.  And I hope this will still count, especially since I didn’t take the photo … Lucy did.

One day I had the camera running on the iPad, and Lucy was playing with me,  jumping all around and being her usual curious self.  When she saw herself on the screen, she was mesmerized, and decided to bat at the iPad, hitting the photo button.  The result?  This candid photo that Lucy took of herself.  I knew my little girl was smart.  😉

I just have to say:  I love her so much, and I am unbelievably grateful she adopted me.

Moon Dance

I’m doing double duty again; this is my post for both 6WS at Show My Face   | & |   Photo Friday: After Dark

The moon dances with the clouds.

First the moon appears, shyly making her entrance.

She appears.
She appears.

Then she bravely approaches the trees.

She grows bolder.
She grows bolder.

And then, finally, she ascends and finds her partner in the dark clouds; joyfully taking her place in the night sky.

She dances; letting the clouds give chase.

This is my happy place:  basking in the night air while the moon plays hide and seek, shining her light when she sees fit.

Enjoy the night, loves.  ♥

Goose on Top

What I found when I walked out the door this morning was a goose standing on my car.  He actually had the nerve to glare at me because I dared to walk to my vehicle.  I guess he decided it was his soapbox, lol.

honk honk

What else could I do but laugh — and laugh hard!  I took the picture and went back in the house.  He got off the car a half hour later with a parting honk . . .  and a parting “gift.”

Sometimes, I really do love life.

Autumn Sunlight

I’m doing double duty with this post, as this is my submission for both Six Word Saturday and the Photo Friday challenge.

Rusty leaves dance with the sunlight.

The Photo Friday challenge was “Season of Sun.”  I know a lot of people would probably think summer, but I’m an autumn girl, so I went to leaves changing colors on a crisp fall day.
